Holiday Charity Event & Happy Hour

The Philadelphia Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers will sponsor a Charity Event and Happy Hour on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Hunt Room at The Great American Pub(610-940-0540), 123 Fayette Street, Conshohocken PA. The event will benefit Cradles to Crayons.

Happy Cradles to Crayons ClientCharity Event.  Please bring a new or gently-used article of essential children’s winter clothing. The clothing, or a $10 donation instead of clothing, will go to Cradles to Crayons. The charity helps children living in low- income and homeless situations.

Happy Hour.  Enjoy a delicious selection of hot and cold hors d'oeuvres and an open bar (soda, draft beer, all house wines and liquor), all courtesy of the Philadelphia Chapter.

Registration Required.  The event is FREE for Philadelphia Chapter members, but space is limited so please visit the ASA Philadelphia Members Page to REGISTER if you plan to attend.

ASA ME202-OOO (MTS202): Machinery & Equipment Valuation Methodology

The Philadelphia Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers will sponsor ME202-OOO (formerly MTS202) Machinery and Equipment Valuation Methodology on January 18, 19 & 20, 2016 from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm at DLL Financial Services, located at 1111 Old Eagle School Road, Wayne PA 19087. The instructor for the 3-day ASA course will be Richard A. Berkemeier, ASA.

This course explores in depth the ideas introduced in MTS201 and provides students with a better understanding of the types of value commonly used in the appraisal of machinery and equipment. This course addresses the issues of price vs. value, indirect costs, use of and development of indexes, age-life concepts, recommended rounding of figures, types of values for MTS appraisals, reproduction cost new, replacement cost new, replacement cost depreciated, fair market value in use, orderly liquidation value, forced liquidation value and supporting conclusions for various purposes.

Mr. Berkemeier is an independent senior asset management professional offering more than 20 years of appraisal experience within the capital markets, including risk management, inventory assessment, appraisal review, liquidation expertise, debtor-in-possession financing, and collateral management.
