November Meeting: Personal Property

The November Chapter Meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Plymouth Meeting, PA. The Board of Directors will meet at 5:00 pm; the general meetings starts at 6:30. The guest speaker will be Shirley Sue Swaab, ASA, who will talk about A Collector's Unusual Collection. Much in demand for her sprightly lectures and hands-on seminars, Ms. Swaab has appeared at museums and historical societies from New Jersey to Florida, from the Smithsonian in Washington, DC to California. Her hallmark is the use of items from her own collection to create hands-on presentations, as she did the past two Springs in all-day seminars on Silver and Ceramics for the Philadelphia Chapter. A leading appraiser of Personal Property accredited in Antiques & Decorative Arts, as well as in Residential Contents, she was the recipient of the prestigious George D. Sinclair Professionalism Award for 2007. The program qualifies for one hour of ASA Continuing Education Credit. Dinner is $35 per person for members and guests.
