May Meeting: ASA Government Relations
The May Chapter Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Plymouth Meeting, PA. The Board of Directors will meet at 5:00 pm; all ASA members are welcome. The general meeting starts at 6:30. The guest speaker will be attorney John D. Russell, Esq., ASA’s Director of Government Relations, who will talk about “ASA Government Relations: Protecting Your Interests.”
John D. Russell joined ASA in October 2009 after working in a similar position for a telecommunications industry trade association. John has a B.A. from SUNY Oswego and a J.D. degree from the Syracuse University College of Law. He specializes in interpersonal communications, regulatory comment writing, and government relations program implementation. Having worked earlier in his career as a play-by-play announcer, improvisational comedian, ring announcer, and baseball umpire, John is sure to deliver an engaging discussion of ASA's government relations practices.
